6A: Parent and Community Involvement and Outreach
During the COVID-19 pandemic school closures, our staff attempted to stay connected with families, students and stakeholders through different multi-media presentations. I participated in the creation of a music video collaboration of our staff members that was sent out to families and students by teachers and the PTA. We wanted to ensure we were providing families a lighthearted way to stay connected with our staff member and seeing our faces to provide a sense of normalcy in unprecedented times.

This year I helped our Douglas Elementary Foundation with the creation of a website to house their information. Douglas Elementary benefits immensely from the fundraising of our foundation. The foundation provided funding for one specialist teacher, one part-time intervention teacher and supplemented the salary of one of our grade-level teachers due to allotment changes. Helping with the creation and editing of the website allowed me to form relationships with foundation members and witness how beneficial these stakeholders are to our school.

6B: Federal, State, and District Mandates
Using information from the state and district about specific teachers evaluation status, I helped create an evaluation schedule for the administrative team at Douglas Elementary. Using the license status of each teacher, this spreadsheet was created indicating their evaluation dates and information. There are sections for each type of evaluation schedule our teachers. The spreadsheet is not fully linked here to maintain teachers privacy but can be made available upon request.

Part of a district initiative this year for WCPSS was for administrators to embark on "Wednesday Walkthroughs" at different school sites with a specific focus. This year, Douglas Elementary school hosted a group of ten principals and assistant principals from around the district. I created schedules to allow small groups of leaders to rotate around classrooms; the artifact to the left is an example of one group's schedule. Each schedule included the particular standard of mathematical practice the students would be focusing on for that quarter.
This year as a principal resident at Douglas Elementary school I also participated in several district-hosted trainings to ensure I was knowledgeable on processes and procedures for district and state mandated safety and educational measures. I assisted with the creation of our Emergency Operations Plan, attended training to become a certified LEA as well as a district-hosted mandatory due process training.
